Hello and thanks a lot for checking this idea

Fiat Tagliero is  the most beautiful  fuel service station in the world

This project features a replica of the  Fiat Tagliero service station, designed and built by engineer Giuseppe Pettazzi and inaugurated in 1938; is the symbol of Asmara.

The service station is a work of futurist architecture and recalls the figure of an airplane with two long wings of reinforced concrete, which open for 16 meters (32.8 ft) each, without any support and takes its name from the director of the local Fiat, in 1938, Giovanni Tagliero. Read more here.

Thanks also to this work, Asmara deserved UNESCO recognition as a "World Heritage Site" in 2017.

The model faithfully follows the lines and proportions until they merge with the original, and has the following characteristics:

  • more than 1300 bricks
  • wings about 29cm long (11.4in), with a total wingspan of about 67cm (26.4in);
  • wings designed to be hold-ups;
  • about 36cm (14.2in) high without antennas;
  • 3 stickers with the writing "FIAT";
  • 2 stickers with the writing "TAGLIERO";
  • 1 sticker with an "ARROW" on it;
  • Scale about 1:60.

Built using Lego Digital Design (LDD) and LDraw and the images are rendered with Blender (the model has no lights inside).

  • ali lunghe circa 29cm (11.4in), con un'apertura alare totale di circa 67cm (26.4in);
  • ali progettate per essere autoreggenti;
  • alte circa 36cm (14.2in) senza antenne.
  • Scala circa 1:60.
